The SOIL admissions process aims at identifying students with the right attitude that aligns with SOIL’s value system, and who have the ability and willingness to explore their leadership potential. Our unique selection process is crafted in such a manner that it helps us assess the holistic personality of a candidate. We focus on multiple intelligence and try to assess the attitude along with the competence levels of a student.

Profile Based Evaluation Method

At Soil, we focus on a Profile-based admission process and not an exam based one. We understand that the traditional method of selecting students based on academic & test scores does not give a clear view of the overall achievements. The following parameters account during a SOIL evaluation round

Capacity to Think

Ability of the candidate to clearly think and to generate ideas.

Capacity to Learn

Ability of the candidate becoming efficient in a new subject. Generally seen in candidate’s academics

Capacity for Action

Ability to put the ideas into practice. Extracurriculars help showcase past actions.

Capacity to Relate

Ability to empathize with all the stakeholders without any biases.

Capacity to Communicate

Ability to clearly convey one’s idea and thoughts in the simplest manner.

Eligibility

To be eligible for admissions into the PGPM AD program, a student must fulfill the following criteria.

A Completed Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised institution with at least 50% in graduation.
Greater than 60% in 10th & 12th Standard Examinations
Candidate with 2+years of prior work experience are eligible.
Valid CAT*/NMAT/GMAT/XAT* scores are accepted for PGPM-AD (Non-Mandatory but adds weightage to your profile)

The following exam scores are acceptable for admissions to the 1 Year PGPM AD Program. These scores are not mandatory, however, they add extra weight to the application

Application Cycles

SOIL follows a multiple cycle model to accept maximum applications for the program and to arrive at a better shortlisting of students for a quality program batch. The cycle dates given below are subjected to change based on the admission committee’s decision.

Early Admission Round

Offers the highest acceptance rate relative to the smaller pool of students applying.

Cycle 2
For Test Takers

For students who want to increase their chance of acceptance through exam scores

Cycle 3
Scholarship Deadline

For students who want to apply for scholarships. Beyond this deadline, no scholarships will be provided

Cycle 4
Final Round

For students who have missed the earlier 3 cycles. Acceptance rate is generally low

SOIL Admissions Process

The following steps are mandatory for all the candidates.

1 Submit online application

Our application process requires you to fill in an online application form by your chosen application deadline. You will be required to provide the admissions committee with the following

Extensive account of your work experience
MBA Exam Scores (Optional)

2 Complete SOIL Talent appreciation test (STAT)

SOIL Talent Appreciation Test (STAT) is a 105-minute assessment that helps us understand your leadership potential and strengths of your personality. The STAT takes into account four personality traits that contribute to the making of a great leader. These attributes are:

Self Leadership Potential

3 Pre interview assessment

An assessment conducted to understand your life goals and charting your desired career path. This will be done usually 1 hour before your personal interview. Students are advised to prepare about

4 Personal Interview

We have a rolling interview process. You can expect to get a decision on your shortlist within four weeks of submitting your application and two weeks of taking the STAT. Interviews with short-listed candidates will be conducted by a faculty member and a senior member of the industry. Interviews last about 45 minutes and you will be asked questions about your background and your aspirations, and how the MBA program fits with your plans.

Students are expected to arrive at the interview location 30 min prior to the interview

5 Admission decision

Final decisions will be emailed to all candidates within four weeks of taking the interview. After your interview there are three possible outcomes:

You are made an offer to join the program.
You are asked to appear for personal interview for the second time.
You are not successful at securing a place this year.

6 Program Registration

Once you are made an offer to join the program, you will be required to secure your place by paying the first installment of the course fee – INR Two Lacs within 10 days of receiving the offer. The Admissions team will guide you through this process.
