Navin is an Metallurgical Engineering graduate from IIT Madras (1991) and an MBA (PGDM) from IIM Lucknow in Operations & Marketing (1993). He has worked in senior leadership positions in blue-chip companies such as Maruti Udyog Ltd., JCB India, Case New Holland and IKEA of Sweden. In IKEA, Navin worked in diverse functions in Sourcing from South Asia, HR Operations & Purchase Development as well as leading IKEA’s Service Business function. After IKEA, he then worked for 2 years with a venture capital firm (Blue Ashva Capital) and a sustainable start-up that worked with bamboo (Artison).

Since late 2021, following his passion for teaching & learning, he began afresh as a Professor of Practise in the Operations & Supply Chain domain in the Birla Institute of Management (Bimtech). Since January’23, Navin has joined SOIL School of Business Design as an adjunct faculty. He spends his remaining time as an independent Consultant, mentoring start-ups and working on his passion for sustainable initiatives to make the world a better place! He lives in Gurgaon with his wife, Gaurie & son Rohan.
