Learn Business through bootcamps & experiential immersions

Empowering Change: Corporate Immersion

Students visit companies across sectors including Radio 98.3, V3, Maruti Suzuki, and Yes Bank. At Maruti Suzuki's plant, they traced the supply chain end to end and saw Japanese lean manufacturing principles running at commercial scale. Each visit is chosen to show a different operating model like manufacturing, banking, media so that students see how the same management ideas play out under very different constraints.

Unleashing Innovation: Design Thinking Bootcamps

Design Thinking Bootcamps put students in front of a real Gurugram-region problem and give them a compressed window to take it from field research to a working prototype. Recent bootcamps have looked at winter air quality for outdoor workers and schooling for the children of migrant construction workers with teams conducting field interviews before building anything.

In a single bootcamp, students:

  • Interview the people living with the problem, on site
  • Build a prototype and put it in front of users within days
  • Present outcomes to faculty and industry mentors from the SOIL corporate consortium

Mastering Entrepreneurship: The Sales Soar Challenge

Students run their own small businesses across SOIL's two campuses, from finding products and setting prices to marketing and making sales. Working with real customers gives them a practical understanding of how businesses work.

Enriching Minds: Liberal Arts Immersion

A strong business education goes beyond knowing how businesses work. Students explore how people think, societies evolve, ideas take shape, and decisions are made. This broader perspective helps them approach business and life with greater understanding and judgement.

Our foundation program aims at teaching the students the following.

Empowering Change: Social Innovation

Through partnerships with 25+ NGOs across Delhi NCR, including CORD and the Sanshil Foundation, students work alongside communities to understand challenges that cannot be fully understood from a classroom. In their engagement with Bagia, students experienced how access to education can go beyond textbooks, creating opportunities for children to explore sports, discover their strengths, build confidence, and imagine a different future.

SOIL’s two-year full-time PGDM does not have fixed specialisations; you build your own path in fields like Marketing, Finance, Analytics, Strategy, HR, Operations, based on interest and performance, and it is particularly strong for tech professionals because of the heavy focus on Design Thinking, Product Management tracks, and recruiters who actively hire engineers into non-tech roles.

SOIL now allows flexibility instead of rigid specialisations, which works better for engineers who discover their true interest only after the first year.

Can I transition between entrepreneurship and corporate roles after PGDM?

Yes. Many SOIL alumni start in corporate roles (consulting, product, marketing) at companies like Deloitte, Marico, or ICICI to gain experience and networks, then launch their own ventures 2–4 years later – and some do it immediately after graduation.

The same skills of Design Thinking, leadership, financial modelling, and customer insights work brilliantly in both worlds, and our alumni network actively supports these transitions.

Will a PGDM help me grow faster in my career compared to staying in my current role?

Yes, PGDM makes it faster for most people to grow in their careers. Staying in your current role usually gives linear growth. A good PGDM from SOIL typically resets your career aspirations in 2 years and puts you on an accelerated leadership track from the current situation.

Most SOIL graduates get their first major promotion or role jump within 12–24 months of joining.

Many move from Analyst/Associate level roles to Manager/Senior Manager equivalent within 2–3 years – much faster than the 5–7 years it would normally take without the PGDM.

Do employers value PGDM for leadership development?

Yes – especially SOIL’s PGDM. Recruiters from Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI, Paytm, Marico, and Aditya Birla repeatedly say they hire SOIL graduates because they show maturity, ethical decision-making, and leadership experience.

How does PGDM improve my credibility and corporate presence?

It transforms and improves my credibility by helping me acquire new knowledge, develop practical skills, and exposing me to new networking opportunities. Read more...
