Ruma is a thought leader with 18 years of experience in the field of HR transformation practice, Capability building, People strategy, HR technology and analytics. An alumna of XLRI and with a Management degree in HR, she has been pivotal in setting up HR function from scratch in many organizations with a special role in cultural transformation.

Before co-founding Knowledgetics Research, Ruma has played a pivotal role in the people development journey of companies like ExxonMobil (a top Fortune 500 company), Petro IT Ltd. (A Punj group company) and All India Management Association (AIMA). She loves working with multigenerational workforce and has an uncanny ability to bring the best in them. And that’s why she chooses to channelize the energy of future generation by taking up new age subjects like Strategic Technology Management, HR Technology, Overview of AI, E-Commerce Fundamentals and HR Analytics along with other traditional areas of HR like PMS, C&B and Talent Management. She combines the fundamentals of experiential learning pedagogy with simplified tech tools to disseminate application based learning to all her students.

She also has been a speaker in IIT Roorkee, Delhi School of Economics, SRCC and many other B Schools. She has been awarded “The Top HR Influential Leaders in India – 2017” by CHRO Asia. Currently, she is a core committee member of two National governing bodies – DMA and PNGI (Delhi/ NCR Chapters) and is also panel member of committees of many companies as an external member for POSH and gender diversity initiatives. Apart from this, she is a blogger with Economic Times/ Times of India and People Matters. In her quench for knowledge, she makes it a point to learn at least one new thing every day and in spare time, she experiments with her ideas and creative instincts.
