Clubs & Organisations
Your program experience at SOIL will extend beyond your curricular life. SOIL has a club to match almost every interest of its students. Clubs are created by students and headed by students. Being a school that nurtures an entrepreneurship spirit in its students, the school invites students to create a club of their own with a suitable team.
Club involvement strengthens your professional and personal networks with fellow students, faculty, recruiters, and business leaders—letting you refine your leadership role while learning new skills, meeting new people, appreciating new perspectives, and expanding your views.
The clubs at SOIL are
Toastmasters is a non-profit educational group, devoted to helping its members improve public speaking, communications, and leadership skills. In Toastmasters, you learn by practicing how to prepare and give a speech, and you will receive helpful, friendly evaluations that help you improve with each talk. You can also practice impromptu, or “off the cuff”, speaking for those situations when you can’t prepare ahead of time.
Events – Sessions conducted every Friday or Sunday.
Outdoor Sports & Adventure
Sports & Adventure club is dedicated to provide access to opportunities that enable student to develop practical knowledge skills and to achieve physical fitness by participating in outdoor activities for overall fitness.
Real Estate Club
The Real Estate Club strives to provide educational experiences, networking opportunities, recruiting contacts, and other career services to those MBA students who are seeking a career in the real estate industry. We work closely with accomplished real estate professionals in all areas of the industry and in the surrounding community to set up MBA students on a successful career path.
Consumer Marketing Club
The marketing club is the place for students interested in expanding their knowledge in the field of marketing. The club conducts various activities and classroom sessions to keep its members updated across various functions such as Advertising, Research, Sales, Branding communication, Digital marketing, Media. This is one of the most famous clubs at SOIL.
The cricket club is for cricket fanatics and followers. The cricket club conducts the SOIL premier league which is one of the marquee events of SOIL. Additionally, the club telecasts live matches based on demand at the college premises.

The quiz club is for the geeks who strive to know it all. The club has a tough entry process and the club conducts weekly quizzing events in topics such as politics, cinema, cricket, entertainments, management, etc., This is one of the most famous clubs at SOIL.
Social Impact Club
The SOIL Social Impact Club is a student-led organization with a mission of educating the SOIL students about social activities. The club works closely with our partner NGOs to find projects for interested members. The club also conducts various events to showcase the work of NGOs and its club members.
Yoga club if to help students find zen through a healthy, active lifestyle. We seek to balance the MBA experience through yoga and wellness events. Yoga club performs special displays of performances during morning circles.
For students interested in cinema, short films, movie making etc., With activities ranging from movie making to video editing, it is undoubtedly it is one of the most interesting clubs at SOIL. Apart from its own activities, the cinema club strives to spread the importance of cinema in management learning by showcasing various leadership and strategy examples through movies.
The dramatics club provides students an opportunity to experience theatre on campus. This club is involved in a host of activities such as staging theatre plays, conducting interactive sessions for young enthusiasts and holding workshops on the technical aspects of theatre.
SOIL conducts a theatre workshop program for all its students to learn ethics and mindfulness through theatre.
The investors club is dedicated to helping students enter the investment management field through career preparation workshops, mentorship programs. The members work closely with the finance faculty of SOIL conducting various research, participation in case competitions etc.
The Wine Club at SOIL seeks to provide students with an educational setting to learn about domestic and international wines and spirits. In addition, we invite the student body to gain an understanding of what role beverages play in international cultures. We also provide the opportunity to understand the business side of the industry, including winemaking, distilling, and distribution methods. Wine plays a role in many business settings; learn the proper way to order wine at a business dinner and what foods to pair with a particular varietal.
Nature & Gardening Club
A group for students interested in exploration and gardening. The gardening club enhances the natural look of the college campus through various activities such as plantation of trees, maintaining the lawns etc.
SOIL gardens offers opportunities to explore creative garden design, observe and cultivate plant communities and learn basic organic agriculture and permaculture principles
The purpose of our club is to provide musical experience to, and beyond, the IIM Calcutta fraternity. Music club members regularly perform during all the celebrations at SOIL.
