SOIL registers a record 35% jump in salaries over last year; witnesses top brands and high salaries in campus placements

SOIL Institute of Management has spearheaded a new era of exciting placements with top brands and high salaries for its students. This is despite the economic crises and volatile business environment, where young professionals and new graduates were bracing themselves to deal with challenging work environments, high rates of unemployment and uncertainty.

The SOIL Career Management team has focussed on bringing an unprecedented number of companies to campus and ensuring the highest ever ROI for its students. Defying the challenges of the VUCA world today, SOIL’s PGPM batch recorded a 35% jump in salaries over last year.

Along with this, the PGPM students have received an average package of INR 12.2 LPA and the PGDM batch has seen an average package of INR 10.5 LPA, another record in just months of starting the placements season.

The class of 2022 is receiving placement offers from Indian and global conglomerates across the IT, ITES, Business Consulting, EdTech, HR & HR Consulting, Real Estate, Auto, BFSI and Banking, in addition to the other brands. BFSI sector has shown a huge increase in hiring numbers with HDFC, Axis bank, ICICI and ABSLI and Kotak securities hiring actively. This year also sees a significant increase in HR roles.

SOIL Institute of Management has achieved 100% campus placement consistently since its launch, and has already seen 31% of its PGPM students & 58% of its PGDM placed at the beginning of this year’s season. SOIL partners with 30+ consortium companies who invest their time in designing the curriculum, selecting students, mentoring them and supporting them in placement preparation This helps us to build a talent pipeline meeting the highest quality standards of the industry.

There were new recruiters to the campus this year including start-ups, new-age enterprises and international organizations like Byjus, Tesvista, Mirai Japan Management Consulting, DRAUP etc. Leading companies like Genpact, Accenture, Newgen, Cognizant, Schneider Electric, HCL, Axis Bank, VECV, ICICI Bank are already some of the top recruiters this year.

A majority of the offers came from the growing IT segment (65%) and Consulting & EdTech were other top industries of focus. Our students received varied and interesting roles such as Marketing Manager, Senior Business Development Analyst, Associate, CFO Office Services Department, HR – Recruitment, Management Trainee, Credit Assessment Officer, Manager-Alliance & Partnerships, Strategic MT and more.

Placement Highlights 2022

- Current highest CTC for PGPM is 15.43 LPA & for PGDM is 20 LPA
- Average CTC for PGPM is 12.2 LPA & for PGDM is 10.5 LPA
- Average Top 10% of batch CTC – 15.05 LPA
- Average Top 25% of batch CTC – 13.17 LPA
- Highest jump in CTC post MBA – 5.1 times
- Average jump in CTC post MBA – 3.01 times
- Percentage of students whose salary has doubled after MBA – 88%
Students with Finance specialization have taken up Strategic Finance, Finance & Marketing, Credit Assessment roles with strategic finance and finance consulting giants like Mirai Japan Management Consulting, ICICI Bank, ANZ Bank, Axis Bank.

Students with HR specialization will be taking up Recruitment, L&D, Talent Acquisition, TABP roles with leading IT & Consulting firms such as Genpact, Accenture, Firstsource, Mahindra AFS & Tata Electronics.

While students in Marketing recorded fantastic placements with organisations like VECV, HCL, Byju’s, Genpact, Cognizant, Newgen, DRAUP, and Schneider Electric in Analytics, Market Research, Retail Sales and Consulting roles.

In addition, students with Analytics specialization have taken up Analytics and Business Development roles in IT & EdTech leaders like Accenture, Cognizant, Newgen and Byju’s.
