After almost two years of uncertainty, positivity has returned to the job market for MBA graduates. B schools are witnessing an uptick in hiring and it is expected that MBA talent would attract competition from recruiters. A study by AON has affirmed this shift in demand as it projects compensation to register an increase of 6.4% in 2022, a decent jump over the past two years. There is a renewed optimism that this demand will sustain in the future and recovery will be V shaped, now that the disruptions caused by the pandemic seem to be on the wane.

There has been another outlier in this optimism that prevails in the MBA employment market. There was an addition of 42 unicorns in India in the year 2021 alone. These unicorns are attracting huge funding, creating thousands of white-collar jobs. This is also fueling the demand for MBAs from bschools that look at going beyond traditional management education and expose their students to areas beyond the typical BFSI, FMCG and IT sectors.

Clearly, disruption is the order of the day and MBA programmes that focus their pedagogy and teaching styles on “intrapreneurship” are sought after. Students that have skills that go beyond functional specialization that allow them to think and act like an entrepreneur are much sought after. The time is ripe to view MBA courses that offer something beyond the traditional MBA.

    THE SOIL MBA

This is where the MBA at SOIL comes in. SOIL is committed to imparting knowledge and skills relevant to current times. The curriculum design is dynamic and is reviewed on an annual basis to keep in sync with the changing business environment. Whether it is their two year MBA – PGDM in Design Thinking or their one year MBA – PGPM, the management knowledge it imparts to students goes beyond the traditional functional learning and integrates the soft skills that are in demand today.

The Financials of an MBA at SOIL

MBA courses from SOIL are much sought after and recognised as one of the best in the industry. Part of the success of the MBA offered by SOIL is the rigorous screening of applications in an effort to attract the best talent. The admissions team follows a robust process leading up to selection of candidates that are the right fit for this innovative MBA programme.

One of the important factors that determine the intake process is the financing of the MBA program. The SOIL selection does not discriminate based on the financial status of the prospect. If the team feels that the candidate is suited and a fit for the MBA at SOIL, there are ample financing opportunities in terms of scholarships – both need based and merit based. The endeavour is to make the MBA program within reach for students and young professionals. So, you should not discard your dream of pursuing an MBA merely because it is unaffordable for you. Take advantage of the MBA scholarships offered at SOIL and look to pursue your preferred MBA and move up the career ladder. SOIL is committed to ensuring that its program is available for the most committed and high potential leaders of tomorrow. In order to achieve this, it has allocated scholarships worth 2 crores across all its programmes.

Criteria and the timing of applying for an MBA scholarship at SOIL

SOIL follows a rolling intake process that is structured to identify talent that can become a leader of the future. Applying early in the admission cycles gives the candidate a better opportunity to be considered since the number of scholarships in each category is limited. With limited seats, an early application would stand a better chance to be considered for scholarships and possibly receive an edge in admission.

SOIL gives scholarships under various categories and for students from different backgrounds. The criteria followed for the granting of scholarships depend on the candidate’s academic records, excellence in extracurricular activities, community service, and exceptional performance during the admission process. It would be pertinent to know that scholarships are provided on a first-come-first-enroll basis, subject to fulfillment of scholarship criteria. Thus, you can apply for a scholarship after completion of the admission process and the endeavour would be to provide an equal opportunity to the prospective student to be considered for the same.
