    For its renowned one year MBA programs, there is a four-cycle application model followed by SOIL for admissions. This significantly reduces the response time as there are a smaller number of applications to contend with, leading to maximum applications being accepted and which results in a better candidate profile.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Students must fulfil the following criteria for the year PGPM and PGPM – HR –

    • A Bachelor’s degree from any recognised institution with 50% at least in graduation.
    • Above 60% in 10th & 12th Standard Examinations.
    • 2 years of prior work experience, at least, is required.
    • Valid CAT*/NMAT/GMAT/XAT* scores are accepted. (Non-Mandatory but adds weightage to your profile
    Selection Process

    The detailed selection process and admission offer policy is given below for the PGPM offered by SOIL.

    Online Application

    The entire application process is online and candidates must complete the same by the appointed deadline. The following information is sought in the application:

    • Details of academic background

    • MBA Exam Scores (Optional)

    Taking the Soil Talent Appreciation Test (STAT)

    The STAT is a 105-minute assessment that tests the candidate for his personality strengths and leadership potential. It tests the four personality traits inherent in a true leader.

    • Self-Leadership Potential
    Pre-Interview Assessment

    An assessment, conducted for the interview panel in order to help them fully comprehend the candidates’ desired life and career path. This is carried out 1 hour prior to the interview and the students are advised to prepare for the same –

    • Their career goals
    • A brief summary of their life
    Talent Appreciation Interview

    SOIL Institute of Management follows a rolling interview process wherein the candidate can expect to get a decision on shortlisting within two weeks of taking the STAT, and four weeks of submitting his application. This cuts the endless wait and anxiety of the prospective student and shortens the entire admission cycle. The short-listed candidates then appear for an interview conducted by a senior member of the industry and of course, a faculty member. They usually last for about 45 minutes and candidates are asked questions about their background, aspirations, and how a one year MBA programs synchronize with their plans. It’s always beneficial for the candidates to arrive for the interview well in time and carry their original documents for verification. Alternately, during the pandemic, online interviews may be taken and the candidates would be advised to be online as per requirements.

    Admission Decision

    A final decision is taken and the result updated to all the candidates within four weeks of taking the interview. At this stage, there are 3 possible outcomes –

    • An offer is made to join the program.
    • The candidate may be asked to appear once again for a personal interview
    • The candidate’s application is not accepted for the current year.
    Program Registration

    Once the offer for admission is made by SOIL, a time period of 10 days is given to secure a seat. This entails payment of the first instalment of the course fee i.e., Rs. Two Lacs. When the student registers for the program, he also becomes eligible to apply for Scholarships. The SOIL program office gets in touch with the selected candidates to assist them with the admission formalities and the option to apply for scholarships. For deserving and meritorious candidates, there are several scholarships available that can be accessed in the one year MBA – PGPM / HR Fee and Scholarship Section.
